IOA IFAS COURSE - Jodhpur

The recently concluded course on foot and ankle surgery at Medical College Jodhpur on Sunday the 4 June 2023 was a resounding success, with over 110 delegates attending out of the 120 registered. The course was comprehensive in nature and aimed to equip the delegates with the latest techniques in foot and ankle surgeries.

The course featured 16 faculty members including senior professors from Dr SN medical college Jodhpur, All India institute of medical sciences aims Jodhpur, and stalwarts from private hospitals & military hospital; all of whom were experts in the field of foot and ankle surgery. They provided in-depth knowledge on a wide range of topics in the field, including the diagnosis and management of various foot and ankle disorders, surgical techniques, and advanced treatment options.

One of the highlights of the course was the 16 case discussion sessions, which allowed the delegates to interact with the faculty members and discuss the best surgical approaches for various foot and ankle conditions. The sessions were very interactive, with the faculty members sharing their experiences and insights on the cases presented.

The course was divided in 4 sessions, 2 for foot and ankle trauma and remaining two on foot and ankle disorders.

The course also featured distinguished speakers from the Foot and Ankle Society, Dr Jayant Sen, Dr Rahul Katta & Dr Rahul Upadhyay. who shared their expertise on the latest techniques and developments in foot and ankle surgery. They provided valuable insights and helped the delegates to keep abreast of the latest trends in the field.

Overall, the course was very well-received by the delegates, who appreciated the practical nature of the discussions and the opportunity to interact with the faculty members and fellow attendees. The course will go a long way in enhancing the skills of the delegates and ensuring that they can provide the best care to their patients.

The course was inaugurated by senior most Orthopedics surgeon of Jodhpur Dr Vinod Kathju who had been the head of the department of medical college Jodhpur for long long time. He was welcomed by Dr Kishore Raichandani who was the course director and gave the welcome speech. In the end Dr Nirottam Singh who was the convener of the course thanked the audience. The program was followed by sumptuous lunch.
